Nuru Hamidan is a seasoned public administrator and development strategist with over two decades of progressive leadership experience across governance, youth employment, consultancy, and political administration. His multifaceted career includes significant roles in both public service and political spheres, reflecting a deep commitment to national development, youth empowerment, and institutional excellence. He holds master’s degrees in Law and Development, Conflict, Peace and Security, and a Commonwealth Executive MBA, with specialized training from esteemed institutions such as the World Bank Training Centre USA, ITILO in Italy, University of Ghana, KNUST and GIMPA in Ghana. As a former Municipal Chief Executive of Asokore Mampong, Nuru steered the newly established municipality to national recognition, earning accolades for excellence in governance and service delivery. In previous roles as Deputy National Coordinator at the National Youth Employment Programme, he oversaw nationwide operations and administration, spearheading key initiatives to combat youth unemployment—a critical national security concern. Nuru also brings a strong background in consultancy and capacity building, having trained executives from leading financial institutions and governmental agencies in Ghana. His earlier career in publishing and printing further enriched his versatility in both creative and operational roles. Beyond formal employment, Nuru has been deeply involved in political organization and civic engagement, serving in various leadership roles within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including as Chairman of the Ashanti regional electoral committees and member of national governance committee. He led the operations for the execution of the 2024 elections agenda in the Kumasi metropolis which resulted in an unprecedented success. He is widely recognized for his leadership acumen, strategic insight, and dedication to public service, with a consistent track record of achieving institutional goals, fostering community development, and promoting youth inclusion in governance.
